After a big event or a holiday, it can be tough to get your energy focused back on what you need to get done. Actually, that’s the way you know a holiday was valuable: you were able to shift to other things for a while, and it’s kinda tough getting back in the groove.
I took a good long holiday break this Christmas, so I’m experiencing that now. It’s actually a good feeling.
But now I have to get focused again.
I spent a day just gathering and collecting all the loose ends. Unanswered emails. A bunch of little tasks I have to take care of. Final preparations for workshops I’m giving this month.
So now I have that list in front of me, and I’m prioritizing it. I’m figuring out where the deadlines are and the goals with the most impact.
And my energy is coalescing. It’s feeling like a groove again.
The neat thing is that this is also happening with the people I work with. Positive energy is infectious!
It’s feeling like a whole new year of fresh possibilities.
