When we think about business results, we tend to focus on customers, stakeholders, and employees. And financial pictures.

But the true impact is so much larger!

For example, by doing business with you your customers will be able to solve problems. They’ll be able to grow and prosper in ways that you aren’t even aware of.

It’s the same with employees. When I was working for a company, it gave me career development, the confidence to buy a house and start a family, and even to launch the coaching business I’m doing today. The company thought of it as “pay and benefits” but it was truly life-defining for decades.

Stakeholders have a variety of needs and expectations, but they still tend to be represented as Real Live People. Maybe they get an investment return which lets them launch off and do new things. Perhaps they build their business and personal success upon what you’re doing.

In any case, this is changing lives. Real people have better lives because of what you’re doing.

And because they have better lives, that ripples out into the community, country, and the world. Because we’re all connected somehow.

Don’t think of this as putting the whole pressure of the world on your shoulders. Nobody could stand that. Instead, this is the opportunity to know that by improving your tiny corner of the world that it matters.

It makes a difference.
