I hate to tell you this, but I don’t think 2024 is going to be perfect.

We’re supposed to be all optimistic for the new year, right? And here I am with that crushing news.

As always, the challenge for us is to stay positive and forward-looking, despite the fact that things won’t align according to plan. They rarely do.

It’s a balancing act.

I’m going to look for the best in people, even though sometimes I’m disappointed.

I’m going to make plans, even though the future is going to happen the way I’ve planned.

I’m going to try to be honest, even when it hurts a bit.

I’m going to trust most people by default, even though I know some will undoubtedly break that trust.

I’m going to be optimistic because the alternative is just not the life I want to live.

At the end of the day, it’s my choice.
