Always learning

I’ve found that I get motivated by the things I’m able to learn.

And it doesn’t have to be a domain that I know anything about, either. In fact, it seems to help when I don’t have high expecations.

Just some energy.

This really puzzled me for a long time. Why would I get into home automation? Gregorian chant? Social media? Writing a book?

Well, I enjoyed the experience of getting into something new and developing a bit of skill. Not always EXTENSIVE skill, mind you, although that’s applied to some areas.

It’s something that keeps me alive.
