This is a great time to get your mind away from the craziness.
Sure, not for everybody. If you’re in retail, it’s likely things are still intense. Or maybe you’re connected to year-end activities.
Nonetheless, there’s always the need to step back and let your body and mind heal from all the stress. If not now, then hopefully soon.
This is something we don’t tend to recognize anymore. We think that the ideal is to keep things going at 150% every minute of every day, every week, every month, every year.
This is the recipe for burnout.
So don’t feel guilty if you’re stepping away for a little while. I sure am – I wrote this article back before Christmas. You may or may not be able to connect with me this week, which is fantastic.
Maybe I’ll read a book.
